Javier Girotto & Vince Abbracciante
Javier Girotto: soprano sax, flute
Vince Abbracciante: accordion
When jazz meets Argentine tradition, the result is an embrace as passionate and unpredictable as tango itself.
Italian accordionist Vince Abbracciante and Argentine saxophonist Javier Girotto unite two deeply expressive voices, blending the warmth of folk roots with the sophistication of modern jazz. Their dialogue flows between free improvisation and neoclassical writing, evoking both melancholy and lyricism, passion and introspection.
Formed in 2015, the duo creates original compositions that bridge jazz, folklore, and tango, exploring soundscapes rich in sensitivity and emotional depth. Their interplay reveals a refined balance between technical mastery and poetic expression, reaching directly to the listener’s soul.
Their debut album, Santuario (Dodicilune, 2021), received the Orpheus Award for Best Jazz Production of the Year and was selected by Jazzit Magazine among the Top 100 Albums of 2021.
